Ans. -Yes you can. BNG Suites of ERP solutions come with multiple database compatibility. Most of the versions run on Oracle 9i,Oracle 10g, SQL Server 2005, SQL Express, and MSDE. But for large networks and large data, Oracle and SQL Server are recommended.

Ans.-ERP is a set of software solutions built on a common platform, integrated databases and which integrate most of the business processes of any organization. The standard ERP solutions in the market are comprehensive and configurable to suit the business requirement and mostly come with flexible tools to create additional reports and analysis. Ans.-The present version of BNG Business Suite is a client-server version and runs on Windows X. This is not a browser based application. Hence you cannot run it just on dial up or shared internet. Yet, you can run the application on shared broadbandinternet using Static IP on the Server.

Ans. -ERP is useful for you for more than one way. ERP can integrate all you process and help in procurement planning, sales forecasting, just-in-time inventory management, order processing, material planning, production planning, capacity utilization, preventive maintenance, product profitability analysis and weeding out unprofitable products or business lines. ERP can help you increase efficiency and profitability.

Ans. -BNG Business Suite is a comprehensive solution for manufacturing and distributing companies. It has its own financial module which gives flexibility and ease at the same time integrates all the module in the ERP. Whereas, Tally is a good accounting package, it does not have attributes of an ERP package. The attributes of an ERP package are: it is modular in approach, it has inbuilt report writer, it can be mounted on any third party RDBMS like Oracle, SQL Server, Ingress, Sybase etc.
Q.6 How much hard disk space is required for BNG Retail, BNG Business, BNG Logic, and BNGPro?
Ans. -BNG ERP products require 20 GB of free hard disk space. The executables and report files of Business Suite and Retail Suite take around 300MB, for Logic it takes around 150 MB.
Q.7 How much time BNG Business Suite takes to implement?
Ans.- Implementation time is mostly unpredictable, because it depends on number of modules, complexities of business processes, number of branches/locations and acceptance of pre-defined processes by the user company. The zeal and willingness of implementing organization is as important as the competence of vendor organization. However, typically a mid size business organization going of core and manufacturing modules with 25 users may take 3-4 months time in complete switch over. However, retail and transportation being more standardized operations, it take half the time.

Ans.- BNG software products can be configured on freeware databases like SQL Express and MSDE. The data size restriction is 2 GB.

Ans.- BNG ERP is compatible with Windows XP, Win 2000, Win2005, Windows7. But the applications are not compatible to run on Linux and Mac.

Ans.- BNG gives unique button level security. It starts with Model level, menu level , and function level security.
Q.12 What kinds of industries are supported by BNG Business Suite?
Ans.- BNG Business Suite the ERP for manufacturing is suitable and already implemented for electronics, garments, electrical, paper products, tools manufacturing. This is configurable and can be implemented for other types of industries as well.
Q.13 How can I connect my multiple branches without investing on costly VPN?
Ans.- BNG offers three stages of connectivity and data consolidation: EDI, SIPA Synchronization, and Online on Static IP. The first is EDI, which is an offline method and uses email as the carrier of data files at day end. The data file is manually placed in and inserted in the database through a tool called EDI Receive. The second method is SIPA Synchronization. In this case the application still runs on distributed databases but a data merging tool called Static IP Agent (SIPA) periodically pulls data in to the server from various branches/location. The third method is Online on SIP. This works on centralized database. The server has its database and a Static IP. The clients stores applications and connect to server for data. This system works online but does not give speed and efficiency of a VPN.
